Front End Designs

User Interface design is very important for your website. When building a website you have only a couple seconds to capture the attention of your visitor (and potential client). For this reason it is crucial to capture the user’s attention with quality and design so that they will continue browsing.

To accomplish this you need to do the following:

  1. Maintain a simple yet appealing graphical layout (design) that the user will see.
  2. Have relative and important content
  3. Organize all your content in an easy navigable way which is easy for both your user and search engines.

These are all components of front-end design, or what the user sees when he/she views your website.

The Layout

The layout of the website is the way the entire page is setup. It consists basically of the logo, content, navigation, and images. The navigation must be easy to find and understand, as well as any content under it divided properly so that visitors will have no problem finding what they are looking for. The content must be readable and images must be included but not cluttering the website.

We balance the use of all these components to make your website the best it can be. Every website is different and accordingly we style and use graphics to make it visually appealing. Style and Content go hand-in-hand and tell a lot about your company. If your layout is just “so-so” visitors may think your business is the same. Websites, after all, are marketing components and we design to please. This is what Vebotix excels in. If your business is creative based, look forward to a creative design. If your website is seeking simply to inform and wants to be “straight to the point” this is what your website should be.

Look forward to being asked simple questions such as:

  • What are your company colors?
  • What content will go into your website and what is it related to?
  • Do you have images of your business and products to put there?
  • What are you planning on expanding in your website towards the future?

The Coding

Besides graphics and appearance coding is a major component of website design. There are hundreds and hundreds of web design companies out there which use outdating coding. This means coding that is not CSS and div based, making it less fluid. All in all, old outdated coding hinders search engine optimization, tie-ins, and user accessibility. With users accessing the internet from different sized monitors, phones, and resolutions, it is important for your website to work for everyone as best as it can. For this reason we stick to the W3C web standards and ALL our designs are table free and clean coded so that you can edit them easier and users can access them anywhere and FASTER.

The Present Trend

The present design trend is Web 2.0. This consists of a logo, easy clear navigation, white space, and clean coding that can be accessed easily. Some components of this trend are gradients, fluid layouts (layouts that conform to the users screen), and highly visible content.

FLASH – What we Don’t Do

Fully Flash based websites. We do not provide front-end designs made up entirely of Flash. Flash hinders user accessibility which is why places like flickr, twitter, and facebook do not use it. We may user flash banners and ads if requested, but beyond the front page we do not recommend users using flash for their websites. Simple animations or movements such as navigation hovers (when you put your mouse over a link something changes) can be done without Flash, and this is what we do.
