Design
April 6th, 2008. Multiply, Hue/Saturation effects were used for the layout. The design was centered on the main image and I wanted the navigation to be a bit different and more professional centered. At this time I was in the mode of exploring simplicity and bold layouts

Process
This layout was actually very simple. The hard part was extracting the original image because of the amount of detail contained within it. But, after that was done, everything was a cinch. The layout itself was very simple overall, took around 1 hour to make total. The flowers were extracted from another Ruroken image and then hued to match Misao. Several levels were changed to get the colors I wanted for the layout. The rest of the layout was just simple shapes. The shapes came from the Kanzenban and then were vectored and put behind the main image with different opacity percentages. The footer was the same way. Very basic and simple layout, but it turned out really well. The only complicated and highlight is perhaps the “V” which shows how simple it really is.

I however think that the layout really captured Misao beautifully, and I was tired of the same old image everyone uses for her, so I decided to use this one and touch on her more feminine side.
